Staying Current: We keep updated by checking the NHS England and NHS Improvement Coronavirus sites daily as they become available.
Prevention: We have directed all caregivers and staff to follow enhanced prevention procedures such as:
- To avoid touching public surfaces whenever and wherever possible, including such things as doorknobs, elevator buttons, restroom surfaces, restaurant menus and tables, public computer keyboards, etc.
- To avoid touching their eyes, nose or mouth.
- To wash their hands as often as possible with soapy water frequently, for at least 20 seconds.
- To avoid close contact with people who are sick and unwell.
- To stay home and not report to work when they are sick.
- To cover their cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
- To clean and disinfect all surfaces and objects frequently using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
- To avoid crowded places, especially in poorly ventilated spaces. Risk of exposure to respiratory viruses like COVID-19 may be of high increase in crowded, closed-in settings, as there will be little air circulation.
- To avoid all non-essential travel at all times, unless deemed necessary.
